Using Christian values as our guide, we are continually building a creative, imaginative and joyful community where we aim that all:
- can develop their spirituality
- are valued and respected as children made in the image of God
- can flourish and live life in all its fullness
We do this through 3 key principles:
- Treating others as we would want to be treated (Matt 7:12)
- Accepting others for who they are (Rom 2:11)
- Building each other up so everyone knows that they are valued (1 Thes 5:11)
“Love one another as family, outdo one another in showing honour” Romans 12:10
Romans 12:10 sets the benchmark by which we want our school to be judged. In applying Jesus’ command to Love one another as God loves us, our school aims to be a place where love is a way of life, received as you come into the school and taken out as pupils, visitors and staff go out into the world.
We welcome you to our school website and an opportunity to be involved with your children and their education.
Mrs. Amanda Pitcher, our Headteacher.
We believe our school is a warm, caring place where children feel comfortable and happy about their learning and we feel that our Bible verses encapsulate perfectly what our school is like on a daily basis.
Our HMI inspection, report in March 2016 states:
“The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection. You, your staff and governors have a shared vision of high standards for every pupil. The school motto is ‘Love, Laugh and Learn and this is at the heart of your mission at Boltons. You and your team have maintained this friendly, vibrant learning community where pupils feel happy, safe and well cared for. Everyone is quite rightly proud of their school. “
In February 2020 HMI said:
Boltons CofE School is a very happy school. Pupils feel safe. Bullying is not tolerated by pupils or staff.
The experienced headteacher, together with the strong team of teachers, has continued to deliver a good standard of education to pupils in the school.
Similarly, in our last SIAMS inspection in September 2023, the inspector found:
‘It is clear that love is a way of life at Boltons Church of England Primary School. This begins the
moment the very youngest pupils enter school and are warmly greeted by their older school
‘buddy’.
‘As a result of a shared commitment to the school’s Christian vision, pupils’ behaviour towards one
another is exemplary. They seek opportunities to support one another and value each other’s
differences. At Boltons Church of England Primary School, pupils’ voices are heard and valued.’
‘Boltons Church of England Primary School values pupils and adults for who they are. The school
recognises the gifts that each pupil has been given and intervenes quickly where extra support is
needed.’
‘School works closely and proactively with families and a range of external agencies to provide effective support. This enables vulnerable pupils to be included in the full life of the school.’
‘Through the outpouring of the school’s Christian vision, lives are changed at Boltons Church of
England Primary School. It is a welcoming school where all are loved as individuals with unique
gifts to offer.’
Some of the beliefs that we as educators hold about children are:
- They are unique and important
- All children given time, and practice can learn
- The most successful children are those whose parents play an active role in their education
- Positive motivation strategies help maximise learning opportunities
- Self-esteem is at the heart of successful, happy children
We will work to ensure these beliefs are lived each day. Please feel free to visit us anytime – we are always happy to welcome visitors into our school community. Our vision is for our school to be a place where all come to “LOVE, LAUGH AND LEARN”
